Culture Vulture Photo-Arts Residency 2015, Morocco
The Amazighe Tents of the nomadic tribes of North Africa are culture displays. The tents, garbed in carpets (and other trinkets) are considered to be one of permanent cultural spaces of these different wandering tribe. Normally these tribes wander around Sahara and come to cities to celebrate special specific festivals, like the cherry harvest. This project explores cultural representations of their abstract sense of home and identity.
